sOU HUD package tool

Validate an existing HUD, create a .souhud archive or normalize a compatible LHM/JT ZIP. Uses the same package validation rules as sOU. Requires .NET 10.

Install and use preview version 0.2.0-preview.4:

sou-hud validate ./ausgabe/mein-hud-1.0.0.souhud

From the portable SDK directory, install the tool into a local folder using its bundled package source:

dotnet tool install SOU.Hud.Tool --version 0.2.0-preview.4 --add-source ./packages --tool-path ./werkzeuge

Then use ./werkzeuge/sou-hud in place of sou-hud.

The source folder contains hud.json beside wwwroot/index.html. Write output outside the source folder. Existing output files are never replaced. Each changed installed HUD needs a new manifest version. Exit codes: 0 success, 1 rejected package or file operation, 2 invalid command syntax.

The types command is a maintainer operation for generating JavaScript contracts; it is not needed to develop a HUD.
