ThinkGeo.Dependency.Cad

A wrapper around the Open Design Alliance ("ODA") CAD SDK v26.7 native binaries plus ThinkGeo-authored managed wrapper assemblies. This is a foundational dependency of ThinkGeo.Cad and is not intended to be referenced directly by application projects.

The package enables ThinkGeo's CAD integration to read DWG, DGN, DXF, DWF, IFC, PRC, and related CAD file formats supported by the ODA SDK.

Supported platforms

  • Architectures: Windows x64, Windows x86
  • Minimum OS: Windows 10 / Windows Server 2016
  • Target frameworks: .NET Framework 4.6.2+ and modern .NET (.NET Core 3.1 / .NET 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9 …) via per-TFM MSBuild fallbacks bundled in the package

The native and managed binaries are deployed app-locally during dotnet build and dotnet publish by the bundled MSBuild .targets files.

No separate ODA SDK install is required — all ODA binaries ship inside this NuGet package and are deployed app-locally. The Microsoft Visual C++ 2015–2022 Runtime likewise flows in via the transitive ThinkGeo.Dependency.MicrosoftVisualCRunTime140 dependency.

Licensing

ThinkGeo's ODA membership covers your use of the redistributed ODA binaries inside ThinkGeo.Cad-based applications, including redistribution of those applications to your end users — no separate ODA agreement is required. The ODA binaries themselves remain proprietary; they may not be extracted from this package for use outside ThinkGeo.Cad, and reverse engineering or disassembly is not permitted. See the bundled LICENSE.txt for the full per-component breakdown (ODA terms, ThinkGeo wrapper, transitive Microsoft VC++ runtime).
