A dotnet new template — generates a working Tracon control plane.

Install

Usage

dotnet new tracon-api -n My.Agent

dotnet user-secrets init
dotnet user-secrets set "Tracon:Providers:OpenAI:ApiKey" "sk-..."
dotnet run

A running control plane opens at http://localhost:5081/tracon.

Options

dotnet new tracon-api -n My.Agent --persistence postgres --provider anthropic --ui true

The generated project references every Tracon package at the template's own version and treats NuGet warning NU1608 as an error, so a reference that moves one Tracon package to another version stops at restore. Delete that line from the project file to keep NU1608 a warning.

The generated appsettings.json carries only empty placeholders — it never contains a secret. The connection string and API key are set with dotnet user-secrets; the generated README.md describes this as the first step.
