Winglet.Subscription.Client

Winglet.Subscription.Client is the typed consumer boundary for stable tenant-scoped Subscription operations. It uses Winglet.Client for endpoint validation, service-token acquisition, correlation, canonical errors and bounded safe-request resilience.

Configure the endpoint under:

Winglet:Clients:Subscription:BaseUrl

Registration:

services.AddSubscriptionClient(configuration);

The consuming host must register an IWingletClientTokenProvider (normally through the host's Winglet authentication composition). The client requests a tenant-scoped service token; tenant identity comes from trusted authentication context, not from a client parameter.

Example:

public sealed class EntitlementHandler(ISubscriptionClient subscriptionClient)
{
    public Task<AuthoritativeEntitlementsResponse> HandleAsync(
        string subscriberType,
        string subscriberId,
        Guid productId,
        CancellationToken cancellationToken) =>
        subscriptionClient.GetEntitlementsAsync(
            subscriberType,
            subscriberId,
            productId,
            cancellationToken);
}

CreateDefaultTrialRequest.OperationId is the service's idempotency identity. The client forwards it unchanged; callers must reuse the same request on retry. Checkout-dependent, catalog-admin and maintenance operations are intentionally not part of this V1 client.
