YMJake.Aspire.Hosting.RocketMQ.Local

Experimental .NET Aspire hosting extensions for Apache RocketMQ 5.x local mode.

This package starts:

  • RocketMQ NameServer
  • RocketMQ broker with --enable-proxy
  • A gRPC proxy endpoint exposed through the broker container

Usage

var rocketmq = builder.AddRocketMQLocal("rocketmq")
    .AddTopic("orders");

builder.AddProject<Projects.Api>("api")
    .WithReference(rocketmq)
    .WaitForRocketMQLocalCompletion(rocketmq);

Applications should connect to the RocketMQ proxy endpoint from the resource connection string.

Broker config

By default the package generates a minimal broker config for local development:

brokerClusterName=DefaultCluster
brokerName=broker-a
brokerId=0
brokerIP1=127.0.0.1
listenPort=10911

For custom broker settings, mount your own config:

builder.AddRocketMQLocal("rocketmq")
    .WithBrokerConfig("../../rocketmq/conf/broker.conf", "/home/rocketmq/conf/broker.conf");

Notes

  • The default RocketMQ image tag is pinned to 5.5.0.
  • This package is intended for local development and smoke testing.
  • RocketMQ 5.5 local mode is not suitable for validating Lite consumers. Use cluster mode for LitePushConsumer; LiteSimpleConsumer is still limited by current RocketMQ 5.5 proxy/server behavior.
  • For more production-like development, prefer YMJake.Aspire.Hosting.RocketMQ.
