Kosmera CLI

kosmera is a .NET global tool for local development against the Kosmera platform (package id kosmera).

Install

From nuget.org

dotnet tool install -g kosmera --prerelease

--prerelease is required while the current version is a preview. Drop it once a stable version ships.

From a local .nupkg (for testing a build)

To avoid touching your global tool set while testing, install into a throwaway folder instead:

Commands

Run kosmera --help or kosmera <command> --help for up-to-date usage. As of this version, the CLI supports:

• kosmera run — start the local Kosmera development environment (host process, embedded MongoDB, etc.).
• kosmera check — verify local prerequisites (.NET SDK, Node, etc.) are present.
• kosmera init — scaffold a new Kosmera app (solution, project, sample entity).
• kosmera login — authenticate the CLI against Kosmera Space. Opens your default browser to sign in, then stores a session token locally.
• kosmera logout — end the current Kosmera Space session: revokes the stored refresh token on the server and clears local credentials.
• kosmera interactive (alias kosmera -i) — start an interactive session where you type commands without the leading kosmera, one per line. exit or quit returns to the shell.
• kosmera skills sync|providers — install the versioned Kosmera skill package that teaches an AI coding tool (e.g. Claude) how to build Kosmera apps, written to the location the tool itself reads from. providers lists the supported AI tools.
• kosmera config get|set|list — read and write local CLI configuration.
• kosmera pubsub start|stop|status|ensure|reset — manage the local Google Pub/Sub emulator used for development. Note: kosmera pubsub --help also advertises env and init, but neither is wired up — invoking them returns "Unknown pubsub subcommand".

kosmera deploy is not available yet. It appears in kosmera --help as a planned command, but invoking it currently prints "Unknown command: deploy".

Update / uninstall

dotnet tool update -g kosmera
dotnet tool uninstall -g kosmera

(Use --tool-path <dir> instead of -g if you installed into a local tool path.)
