HiQPdf Library for .NET (Classic API on the Next Engine, Windows ARM64)
PDF Library for .NET | HTML to PDF for .NET | Free Trial Download | Licensing | Support
Overview
HiQPdf Library for .NET (Classic API on the Next Engine, Windows ARM64) runs the Classic HiQPdf API on the Chromium-based rendering engine of HiQPdf Next. It converts HTML to PDF and creates PDF documents in .NET applications on Windows ARM64 with the HiQPdf namespace (HiQPdf.HtmlToPdf, HiQPdf.HtmlToImage, HiQPdf.PdfDocument, HiQPdf.PdfPage, the drawable and HTML objects, canvases, forms, outlines and security settings) and renders modern HTML, CSS and JavaScript as HiQPdf Next does, to the latest standards.
An application written for the HiQPdf package keeps its code and changes only the package reference. The pages render as in Chromium, with the options of the HiQPdf API; the options specific to the Classic rendering engine are accepted and have no effect.
Package structure
This package references the library of the HiQPdf API and the HiQPdf.Next.HtmlToPdf.Windows.Arm64 package, which brings the rendering engine for Windows ARM64.
The same library is available for the other platforms in the packages below, which can be referenced on their own or alongside this package:
- HiQPdf.Windows (Windows x64)
- HiQPdf.Windows.Arm64 (Windows ARM64)
- HiQPdf.Linux (Linux x64)
- HiQPdf.Linux.Arm64 (Linux ARM64)
- HiQPdf.MacOS (macOS ARM64)
Compatibility
- Windows 10, 11 and Windows Server 2016 to 2025 (ARM64)
- .NET 10.0, 9.0, 8.0, 7.0, 6.0 and .NET Standard 2.0
- .NET Framework 4.6.2 to 4.8.1

- Interactive Features like PDF forms, text notes, internal links and JavaScript actions
- Merge PDF to combine multiple PDF documents into a single one
- Stamp PDF to apply repeating HTML, text or image content on each PDF page of a PDF document
Installation
Install the package using your preferred NuGet package manager or with the .NET CLI:
dotnet add package HiQPdf.Windows.Arm64
On Windows the rendering engine does not require the installation of additional dependencies.
Getting Started
The code written for the HiQPdf package runs as it is. To convert a web page or an HTML string to a PDF document:
using HiQPdf;
HtmlToPdf converter = new HtmlToPdf();
converter.SerialNumber = "your-serial-number";
byte[] pdfBytes = converter.ConvertUrlToMemory("https://www.hiqpdf.com");
System.IO.File.WriteAllBytes("url_to_pdf.pdf", pdfBytes);
HiQPdf Next features in the existing code
Each converter raises the NextConverterCreated event before a conversion, with the HiQPdf Next converter it uses, for the options the HiQPdf API has no setting for, such as the PDF standard; its Next property holds the converter of the last conversion. The results are plain PDF data, so the HiQPdf API and the HiQPdf Next API can be used together in the same application.
For new applications, the HiQPdf Next HTML to PDF Converter offers the native API of the new engine. The Classic to Next migration guide describes what changes when the code moves to the HiQPdf Next API and maps the Classic options to their Next equivalents.
Licensing
The licensing model is simple and flexible. The licenses are perpetual and there is no limit for the number of machines where you can deploy your applications using the HiQPdf library. You can find more details about licensing on the Online Purchase web page.
Set the serial number on the converter object before the conversion:
converter.SerialNumber = "your-serial-number";
Without a serial number the converter runs in evaluation mode.
